Jaime Martínez is the Director of Community Development at ClearWay Minnesota. ClearWay MinnesotaSM is an independent, nonprofit organization which is funded by 3 percent of the Minnesota tobacco settlement. ClearWay MinnesotaSM serves Minnesota through its grant-making program, individual QUITPLAN® Services to help people quit smoking and statewide outreach activities. As Director of Community Development, Jaime oversees efforts to build upon the capacity of priority population communities (African Americans, American Indians Nations, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, Chicano Latinos, 18-24 year olds, the GLBT community and labor union members) to expand the tobacco movement in Minnesota.Mr. Martinez has over 20 years of experience in alcohol and tobacco policy in Minnesota. His community activities include having served on the board of Smoke-Free Coalition and Minnesota Join Together Coalition to Reduce Youth Alcohol Use, the Minneapolis Advisory Committee on Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Problems, Minnesota Department of Human Services State Alcohol And Other Drug Abuse Advisory Council, and President of the Minnesota Public Health Association.
