Ms. Nora D. Manzanilla has been involved in tobacco control for a number of years. Since 2000, she has been serving as Program Director of the Tobacco Enforcement Program (TEP) at the office of the Los Angeles City Attorney. She is involved in planning, implementation of protocols and procedures for enforcement and investigations. Ms. Manzanilla helps make policy decisions on all matters related to the program and is responsible for implementing TEP including, tracking compliance investigations, compiling data, and presenting all appealed cases to the Police Permit Review Panel.From 1996 to 2000, Ms. Manzanilla served as Associate Program Director for the L.A. Link Regional Tobacco Control Community Linkage Project. One of her responsibilities was to oversee Southern California Tobacco Prevention Health Promotion/Policy programs which included planning, organizing, marketing, implementing and evaluating health promotion and policy efforts.Ms. Manzanilla has professional affiliations/involvement with the National Latino Tobacco Control Network, Los Angeles County Tobacco Control Coalition, KIISS (Kids Involuntarily Inhaling Secondhand Smoke) , Los Angeles County Asthma Coalition, and Los Angeles Unified School District Drug, Tobacco Use Prevention Education Advisory Committee and Public Health Advisory Council.
